ParticipantThe stories look to be interesting but being faced with a block of unformatted text makes reading daunting, might I suggest suggest breaking the text into paragraphs and perhaps Chapters.

KeymasterDear Sussura,
Thank you for your comment – I just checked the first .pdf and can see that it is indeed a long piece of text.
I have asked Richard to reset the format and he will be working on all the stories to make them easier to read.
Thank you for highlighting this issue.

KeymasterHave a look at the new PDF — I have reset it so it is easier to read. The story itself is unchanged.
Changes:split into four titled chapters
proper paragraphs
dialogue on its own lines
scene breaks
title page, contents and page numbers
old magazine headers and stray layout text taken outAny thoughts ?

KeymasterThank you, I have used it as a template and changed the other, I am focusing on After Ursula first.
Anything Else we can improve?

ParticipantI’ve had a quick look at members stories and although they have Chapters, I think they would benefit from your new formatting treatment.

KeymasterAgreed, I am trying to get all of the Ursula stories live to ensure new members see how much content, But i will turn my attention to it . Thank you again for your comments.

KeymasterSorry, everyone — this one’s on me.
I’ve been pushing the Stories through a bit too quickly, and the accuracy has suffered. When I put the scanned Mackintosh Society PDFs into the new format, some paragraphs ended up in the wrong order and there were misspellings and other slips. That isn’t the standard I want for this board, and I apologise.
The audio wasn’t much better. I had Ayshea read the chapters and paragraphs and then joined them in Audio Joiner, and it didn’t come out as it should. Sorry about that as well.
I’ve gone back to the original source, added only a few of my own nuances — it is still a past members story story — and set it again properly. Please have a look at Temptation of Eve when you get a chance. - AuthorPosts
