The Mackintosh Society
The Mackintosh Society
The Mackintosh Society has been publishing its magazine for many years. Each issue contains wonderful articles, stories, photography and member contributions all dedicated to classic rubber raincoats and macs.
As a small cottage business, we are currently in the process of transferring all the old magazines over to the new website. We’re uploading them as quickly as we can, so please bear with us while the full collection grows.

History of The Mackintosh Society
The Mackintosh Society was founded in the 1950s at the height of the classic rubber raincoat era. For decades it served as a special club for enthusiasts, publishing a regular magazine filled with articles, stories, photography and member letters celebrating the unique appeal of rubberised mackintoshes.
Edited for many years by the late Ian Turton, the Society remains a much-loved part of rainwear heritage. We are gradually bringing the full archive of magazines to the new website.
